Microsoft will no longer push any updates to Office 2013 suite of applications. Important: By February 28, 2017, Office 2013 version Office 365 ProPlus is no longer available for installation with an Office 365 subscription. Anyone have a solution? CSV to Outlook for a MAC. The CSV is an export out of Outlook so one would think this should just work.Īlso none of the fields map automatically which also makes no sense. John Smith comes out as 'John' 'Smith' The quote are not in the CSV file. Outlook is adding quotations around all data in my import. I would suggested exporting your Yahoo contacts as a VCF file and then double click on that file. So far they look OK but I'm about to do a more detailed review of them. After failing to find a way to import the VCF file, in desperation I double clicked on it and all my Yahoo contacts appeared in Contacts.

I found a solution for Yahoo contacts: It was the VCF file. With hundreds of contacts I'm not willing to manually edit every Outlook contact after the import.

I have tried manually mapping the fields, and that got the data in, but there were ' around every word in every field in every contact. If I search in the csv file there is not a single ' to replace, so that is not the issue, though no matter what I try there are 's in the new outlook contacts when I do the import. The default mapping leaves every contact blank. I then tried importing to Outlook 2011 on the same computer.

The vba code is like this: If left(data,1) = chr(13) then data=mid(data,2) Converting Windows created csv files on a Mac is a real challenge. To the extent you have control over the import routine (via VBA) try removing the first character if it is an Enter. That is probably why there is no data in Outlook. The 'Enter' (line end) at the end of a row of values is actually being picked up as the first character of the next value. (which may actually be what is happening to Josh). I am having an additional issue decoding CSV issue. So quotes appear to be necessary when the value is more than one word. Plus, Mac conversions of csv seem to use a space as a value break point as well. When there are commas in a value, the values need to be enclosed with quotes, so just removing quotes won't resolve the issue. Hope this helps! This is not a good universal answer.
